Project overview
An experienced overall project manager is sought for a comprehensive SAP transformation project to implement SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (SAP RAR).
The project's goal is to replace existing revenue accounting systems with SAP RAR and automate revenue recognition according to IFRS 15. The revenue accounting will be switched from a portfolio approach to an individual contract approach.
The area of responsibility includes leading the technical implementation, SAP customizing, and system integration. A particular focus is on coordinating internal and external project participants, especially the implementation partner, as well as clarifying functional requirements and their successful technical implementation.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for IT sub-projects across all project phases – from initiation and planning to implementation and completion.
Management and coordination of further sub-projects in the areas of accounting and controlling.
Ensuring project goals regarding time, quality, and budget.
Management of internal and external project participants and the implementation partner.
Planning, monitoring, and reporting of project progress, milestones, and dependencies.
Stakeholder management and coordination with business departments and management.
Identification, assessment, and management of project risks.
Ensuring compliance with agreed project management standards and methods.
Accompanying the technical implementation, SAP customizing, and system integration.
Requirements
Must-haves
Several years of experience in managing complex IT projects.
Demonstrable references in overall project management of comparable scope and complexity.
Sound knowledge of common project management methods.
Experience in managing external service providers and interdisciplinary teams.
Strong communication, coordination, and management skills.
Willingness to work approximately 60% of the time on-site in Hamburg.
