PaaS System Engineer – Kubernetes, GitOps, IaC | 100% Remote

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to build and operate a Kubernetes-based PaaS/SaaS platform. Key areas include high automation in provisioning and deployment, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps, as well as vulnerability reduction (CVE). The role is 100% remote, starting from 12.10.2026.

• Select, deploy, and make available tools and components within the PaaS – including CVE reduction
• Realize and operate the Kubernetes-based infrastructure of the PaaS
• Automatically deploy containerized platform components via CI/CD
• Optimize the platform with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps (e.g., GitLab CI, Terraform, Crossplane, Argo CD)
• Further automate provisioning and deployment
• Ensure quality through tests (unit and integration tests)
• Ensure the operability of the PaaS/SaaS within an agile team
• Several years of experience as a System/Platform Engineer in a Kubernetes environment
• Confident handling of Linux and Git
• DevOps practice with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
• Experience with tests in platform development
• Professional experience at a Senior level
• GitLab CI
• Terraform
• Crossplane
• Argo CD / GitOps
• Infrastructure as Code
