For a long-term digitalization project in the area of infrastructure and capacity management, we are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer.

You will work in an agile product team on the development of modern web applications that support central planning and control processes. You will design scalable cloud solutions and high-quality backend systems with high business relevance and long-term perspective.

• Start: November 2026
• Duration: Long-term project until October 2029
• Utilization: Full-time (39 hours/week)
• Location: Frankfurt area
• Remote share: 80 %

• Development and further development of modern backend applications
• Conception and implementation of microservices
• Development and integration of interfaces and APIs
• Participation in architectural decisions and technical concepts
• Setup and optimization of CI/CD pipelines
• Execution of code reviews and quality assurance measures
• Creation of automated tests and support for test-driven development
• Participation in the refinement of business requirements
• Analysis and evaluation of technical risks
• Consulting internal stakeholders on technological issues
• Development and provisioning of cloud infrastructure
• Several years of experience in software development (ideally 5+ years)
• Very good knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Sound experience with microservice architectures
• Experience in the cloud environment, ideally AWS
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
• Practice in the development of REST APIs and OpenAPI
• Experience with Kafka or comparable messaging/queuing systems
• Experience with CI/CD processes and Git-based development
• Knowledge of test automation and test-driven development
• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and pair programming
• Knowledge of modern software design principles (SOLID, Design Patterns)
• Very good German language skills
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of Grafana or comparable monitoring solutions
• Experience with Bash or Groovy
• Agile project experience (Scrum, SAFe)
