For my end client, I am looking for an experienced Kubernetes Platform Engineer starting immediately for the operation and optimization of a complex enterprise Kubernetes platform. The focus is explicitly on the technical operation, configuration, and further development of the existing platform, not on software development or re-engineering. A particular focus of the project is on Longhorn Storage. You will analyze existing implementations, optimize the storage environment, and ensure stable and traceable operation.

Furthermore, you will support monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis of the Kubernetes platform. The environment is based on microservices and also includes the operation and monitoring of database services within the Kubernetes landscape. An expert is sought who has already operated Kubernetes and especially Longhorn in depth in a production environment. Basic Longhorn knowledge is not sufficient for this project. You should understand the technical interrelationships, be able to analyze existing configurations, and independently identify and solve problems during ongoing operation.

What you bring to the project:

Several years of practical experience in operating production Kubernetes environments

Very solid knowledge of Kubernetes at an advanced to expert level

In-depth practical experience with Longhorn Storage

Experience with microservices-based platforms

Very good knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana

Experience in operating MySQL and/or MongoDB

Experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization of Kubernetes platforms

Experience in collaborating with infrastructure, platform, and operations teams

Nice-to-have: Experience with SUSE Storage

Nice-to-have: Experience with enterprise platforms with high availability requirements
