For a modernization program at a federal agency, we are looking for a Platform Engineer for the operations team. The platform is based on OpenShift in a hybrid cloud (Microsoft Azure and on-premise cloud of the federal government).

Responsibilities

• Administration and monitoring of the OpenShift-based hybrid cloud environment
• Installation, configuration, and administration of container-based applications
• Further development of installation and configuration automation according to the GitOps principle (ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible)
• Conception and enforcement of security and compliance policies with Kyverno and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (RHACS)
• Implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
• Enablement of development teams, documentation of operational processes
• Participation in on-call duty

• Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (RHACS)
• ArgoCD and GitOps
• Microsoft Azure and Terraform (IaC)
• Writing and configuring Helm Charts
• Building and maintaining reliable platforms and cloud infrastructures
• Scrum or Kanban
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty
• AWS
• CI/CD with Azure DevOps
• On-premise cloud, ideally in the federal agency environment
• Monitoring/Logging (e.g., Elasticsearch)
• Start: immediately
• Predominantly remote, occasional on-site presence required
