Activity:

A specialist is sought for a demanding IT infrastructure environment for the design, operation, and further development of secure and highly available platform infrastructures.

Responsibilities

Design, implementation, and operation of scalable platforms based on Linux, Unix, Kubernetes, and Microsoft technologies

Administration, maintenance, and optimization of existing system landscapes

Setup and operation of Kubernetes clusters in on-premise and cloud environments

Automation of infrastructure processes with Ansible, Terraform, and scripting

Implementation of monitoring and logging solutions, e.g., with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK

Implementation of system hardening measures and security concepts

Analysis and resolution of complex system and performance problems

Creation and maintenance of technical documentation

Collaboration with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams

Evaluation of new technologies for modernizing the platform landscape

Requirements

Completed degree in computer science or comparable qualification

Several years of experience in system administration and platform operation

In-depth knowledge of Linux and Unix

Very good knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization, especially Docker

Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform as well as Bash or Python

Knowledge of monitoring and logging, e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack

In-depth knowledge of IT security, BSI basic protection, and system hardening

Microsoft knowledge, especially Windows Server and Active Directory, is an advantage

Good German and English language skills

German citizenship and willingness to undergo security vetting VS-NfD
