Brief Description

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer for a company to further develop and operate an AWS-based Kubernetes platform. The focus is on AWS EKS, infrastructure automation, observability, and developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Development, operation, and further development of productive AWS EKS clusters and managed services
• Automation of infrastructure and deployments
• Setup and optimization of observability solutions with Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, and CloudWatch
• Further development of self-service functions and standardized deployment processes
• Collaboration with development teams to improve developer experience and implement Golden Paths
• Optimization of the platform regarding performance, security, and scalability
• Technical documentation and continuous improvement of operating processes
• Participation in on-call duty
• Demonstrable practical experience in the productive operation of Kubernetes environments, especially AWS EKS
• Sound experience with AWS services such as VPC, IAM, S3, ElastiCache, and Lambda
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD
• Experience in automating cloud infrastructures and deployments
• Experience with monitoring and observability, especially Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
• Experience with stable, secure, and scalable cloud platforms
• Understanding of self-service, developer experience, and the requirements of development teams
• Experience in collaborating with agile teams and in technical documentation
• Willingness for on-call duty
• For nearshore offers: Language skills at least C1 level
