Policy Officer Spatial Development (interim)

Project overview

Temporary replacement due to maternity leave, with tasks divided between urban and rural areas:

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Guiding spatial initiatives in the urban area, such as housing construction, restructuring, densification, and property transformation
• Advising the executive board, initiators, and residents on possibilities and procedures
• Providing substantive, procedural, and legal guidance for spatial planning processes
• Representing the municipality in objection and appeal proceedings
• Participating in the creation and further development of the environmental plan for the urban area
• Guiding spatial initiatives in the rural area, such as business cessation, expansion, and recreational stays
• Participating in the drafting of the environmental plan for the rural area and updating policy for former agricultural locations
• Completed HBO or academic education in spatial planning, spatial development, or a comparable field
• Years of experience in guiding spatial initiatives and spatial planning processes
• Insight into spatial and environmental issues in both the city and the rural area
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet)
• Political and administrative sensitivity and the ability to switch between the executive board, residents, and initiators
• Flexible, confident, and stress-resistant attitude
