Policy Officer Traffic and Transport

Project overview

As a policy officer for traffic, you will work on various mobility issues within the municipality.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Initiating and developing mobility policy around themes such as parking, traffic safety, flow, and redevelopment
• Contributing to spatial visions, projects, and policy plans at both local and regional levels
• Providing design advice for major development projects
• Collaborating with colleagues from other domains, such as Spatial Development and the Climate Program Team
• Sharing expertise and giving presentations
• Drafting advice and policy notes for the executive board or administration
• Consulting with residents, project developers, network partners, and administrators
• Thinking and working at HBO or WO level
• Relevant education and experience in the field of traffic and mobility
• At least one year of experience in the field
• Excellent strategic and analytical thinking skills
• Insight into interests, trends, and scenarios within the mobility transition
• Ability to identify risks, opportunities, and subsidy possibilities and translate them into policy proposals
• Political and administrative sensitivity
• Good communication and writing skills
• Affinity with sustainability is a plus
• Experience in government is a plus
• Municipal experience is a plus
• Residing in the vicinity of the BUCH municipalities is a plus
