For our public authority in Berlin, an experienced PostgreSQL specialist is sought for the conception, deployment, and operational support of a highly available database infrastructure. The planned scope is 264 person-days.
Responsibilities
Required knowledge:
The knowledge used must be proven by suitable project references, certificates, testimonials, or comparable evidence. A technical interview is part of the selection process. A SINA notebook will be provided for system access.
Framework data:
- Conception of fail-safe and geo-redundant PostgreSQL systems
- Setup and administration of PostgreSQL databases
- Configuration of replication and high availability solutions with Patroni
- Automation of installation, backup, recovery, and monitoring
- Integration into existing infrastructure and security solutions, especially HashiCorp Vault
- Performance analysis and optimization of the databases
- Support of operations in third-level support
- Preparation of operational handover, documentation, and knowledge transfer
- Implementation of requirements according to BSI and KRITIS
- Very good experience in the installation and administration of PostgreSQL
- Good knowledge of Patroni, replication, and high availability
- Good knowledge of backup and recovery as well as PostgreSQL performance tuning
- Experience with automation and Linux administration
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL database operations
- Experience with BSI and KRITIS security requirements
- Basic knowledge of Checkmk, ITIL, BMC ITSM, and Confluence
- Basic knowledge of connecting HashiCorp Vault
- Location: Service provision remote, individual necessary on-site appointments will take place at the DRV Bund's service location in Berlin.
