Job description
Develop and implement high-voltage hardware for power electronic systems, including converters, on-board chargers (OBC), and DC/DC converters. Requires experience in power electronics, high-voltage circuits, and converter topologies.
Responsibilities
Profile
- Development and implementation of high-voltage hardware for power electronic systems, especially for converters, on-board chargers (OBC), and DC/DC converters
- Development and design of electronic circuits and power electronics, for example flyback, CLLC, LLC, buck, or boost circuits, considering function, cost, quality, and space
- Integration of new functions into existing products as well as technical coordination within the hardware team and processing of occurring hardware errors
- Evaluation and presentation of circuit changes and electrical architectures, including the impact on other components of the system
- Execution of circuit simulations and layout designs, for example with Simetrix and Zuken, as well as subsequent calibration and validation of the developed hardware
- Planning, setup, and execution of hardware and function tests, including test setups, test specifications, and evaluation of measurement results
- Selection and dimensioning of electronic components, especially power semiconductors, transformers, chokes, and other magnetic components
- Studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive electronics, or a comparable field of study
- Profound experience in the development of power electronics and high-voltage circuits
- Good knowledge of various converter topologies, e.g., LLC, PFC, buck, and boost
- Experience with power semiconductors such as SiC, GaN, MOSFET, and IGBT as well as with EMC and driver circuits
- Knowledge in the design and modeling of transformers, chokes, and other magnetic components
- Experience with schematic creation, component selection, worst-case analyses, PCB layout and routing, as well as thermal design
- Confident use of development and simulation tools such as Simetrix, Zuken, Matlab/Simulink, or PSpice
- Automotive experience or knowledge of relevant automotive development processes and standards is an advantage
- At least fluent English skills (C1 level)
