Powertrain Development & Design Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced engineer to contribute to the development and design of powertrain and engine components. In this role, you will independently manage the development of parts and assemblies from the concept phase to series readiness.

Your tasks include creating feasibility studies and project plans, independently designing and 3D modeling components, and developing concept proposals and decision documents. You will generate parts lists and work instructions for production, create purchase requisitions in the ERP system, and prepare homologation documents. Furthermore, you will support technical project management in achieving project goals and participate in Design FMEAs.

As the interface between development, purchasing, quality assurance, and production, you will coordinate interdisciplinary alignments and bear technical project responsibility.

We expect a successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field, as well as at least five years of professional experience in the development of powertrain, engine, or transmission components, ideally in the automotive or high-performance sector. Proficiency in CATIA V5 and knowledge of SAP-based development processes are required. You are characterized by a structured, analytical way of working, self-responsibility, high resilience, and decisiveness.

Enthusiasm for innovative drive technologies as well as very good German and English skills complete your profile.
