• Participate in private cloud projects to integrate security requirements into architectures and operating procedures.
• Implement and validate security measures for Windows and VMware infrastructures, including hardening configurations and protecting administrative access.
• Analyze application flows and support the deployment of microsegmentation policies, their validation, and their ongoing maintenance.
• Analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities based on their criticality and infrastructure exposure, coordinate remediation plans with the relevant teams, and verify the effectiveness of corrections.
• Deploy, administer, and maintain the sector's security tools.
• Automate configuration and compliance checks, particularly using PowerShell, and produce the indicators necessary for security monitoring.
• Document deployed solutions, prepare their transfer to operations, and support the teams in their use.
• Ensure technical watch and propose improvements adapted to the sector's infrastructures.
• Security training and certification.
• VMware VCF training.
• AI security training.
• Computer science degree at a minimum.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT security.
• Vulnerability analysis and remediation.
• Flow analysis, filtering, and validation of measures.
• Knowledge of Windows system administration.
• Hands-on experience with the VMware vSphere ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX / vDefend technology.
• Knowledge of Identity Firewalling concepts.
• Knowledge of network virtualization.
• Proficiency in technical English.
• Knowledge of security suites such as HarfangLab.
• Knowledge of PowerShell.

Job Description and Context:

We are looking for a security engineer for a client, a public administration in Geneva, to strengthen its x86 virtualization team. This team is responsible for the hosting and operation of Windows servers and the VMware / Intel x86 infrastructure, as well as the VDI Horizon platform (virtualized workstations), and participates in the implementation projects of a private cloud.

The selected candidate will implement the sector's operational security strategy within the framework of security projects, particularly in relation to this private cloud: hardening, microsegmentation, vulnerability management, and security tooling. Long-term assignment (up to 5 years).
