Job description

We are looking for a Product Owner for our DevOps support team. The team is responsible for the common platform used by delivery teams for software development, testing, security, delivery, and operation, as well as supporting teams in modern software development with DevSecOps.

Project overview

Assignment Description

We are looking for a product owner for our DevOps support team. The team is responsible for the common platform that delivery teams use to build, test, secure, deliver, and operate their software, as well as for supporting the teams in working according to modern software development with DevSecOps.

A very important part of the role is change management. You will work closely with both the support team and the delivery teams, build on what already exists and works, and develop the platform and ways of working together with them.

The platform includes, among other things, operational platforms and environments, CI/CD pipelines and templates, test tools and test environments, security controls in the pipeline, logging and monitoring, and a developer portal.

Responsibilities

– Develop vision and roadmap for the platform, and the move towards modern software development in line with our PI planning

– Own and prioritize the support team's backlog

– Understand the needs of the delivery teams and propose improvements based on good knowledge of DevSecOps

– Plan and follow up on the support for the delivery teams through coaching, training, and collaboration or coaching.

– Follow up that the platform is used and benefits the teams.

– Determine what the teams should be able to do themselves with ready-made templates and what requires collaboration or coaching.

– Coordinate with security, architecture, production support, and other support teams

– Present and drive issues in management groups and decision forums until a decision is made.

The role is technically close. You need to be able to work practically with the teams and have technical credibility.

Language: Swedish

Requirements

Normally achieved after 9-12 years of work in the relevant role.

A level 4 consultant corresponds to being at essentially the highest level in terms of knowledge and experience, etc. Working in a specific role or competence area for more than 12 years does not automatically mean a consultant achieves level 5.

Knowledge: high generalist competence, or very high competence in the relevant area, role, software, language.

Experience: has participated in large assignments in the relevant area and completed assignments with very high quality. Is a role model for other consultants at lower levels.

Management: takes main responsibility for leading a larger group, software, or language.

Independence: very high.

Personal qualities:

Presentation to the client takes place after the last bid date has expired. To be able to apply for this assignment, you must be a registered user in our portal, which is completely free. • The consultant must achieve at least competence level 4 according to the framework agreement:
  • At least 3 years of documented experience in leading or driving development within DevOps, with responsibility for direction and prioritization of work. Examples of roles: product owner, technical lead, or responsible for a platform or DevOps team, or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of documented experience in modern software development with DevOps with practical experience of CI/CD, automated testing, and container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes or equivalent)
  • Tool competence in Jira and Confluence
  • Experience of having worked as a product owner or equivalent, with responsibility for roadmap, backlog, and prioritization
  • Experience of having driven development teams for internal platforms, developer portals, or equivalent services for development teams
  • Experience of presenting and driving issues in management groups or decision forums
  • Experience of following up on delivery capability with metrics, e.g., DORA metrics or developer experience measurement.
  • Certification in Openshift, Kubernetes, or platform engineering
  • Coaching leadership – leads by supporting, motivating, and developing others and creates conditions for teams to succeed
  • High social competence – builds trust and good relationships, and is attentive to the needs and perspectives of others.
  • Collaboration and communication skills – collaborates well with others and communicates clearly, adapting to both teams and management
  • Goal and result-oriented – works structurally towards set goals and follows up that the work yields results
  • Driving – takes initiative and drives the work forward, with great commitment to modern software development and DevSecOps.

Project details

Optional.

For the assignment, there is an opportunity to work remotely. At least 2 days a week, the work must originate from the placement location's KFM office.

The consultant must be able to come to a Kronofogden office for onboarding.

We are nearly 200 employees in Kronofogden's IT department. The department is undergoing a change journey with a focus on establishing and continuously improving common ways of working, based on a scaled lean-agile framework and modern software development with DevSecOps. In this role, you are part of that change journey.

Information about interviews

If a candidate is presented to the client, the candidate must be available for an interview within seven (7) working days from the time the candidate has received a summons from Upgraded.

Security vetting:

Kronofogden is covered by the Security Protection Act, which means the assignment may be placed in a security class. This includes requirements for security vetting of the consultant and that a subcontractor must enter into a security protection agreement.

Before the security protection agreement can be entered into, Kronofogden is obliged to conduct a suitability assessment of the subcontractor in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) Chapter 4, Sections 7-8.

The scope of the security vetting will be communicated at a later stage in the selection process. The process for establishing a security protection agreement and conducting security vetting and any background checks usually takes 8-12 weeks from the assignment award, but can take longer or shorter. If the assignment is placed in a security class, the assignment cannot begin until this process has been completed and a start date has been communicated by the client.
