Product Owner Senior – AML Detection Platform / AI & Machine Learning

Project overview

Our client is looking for a Senior Product Owner – AML Detection Platform (M/F) for a freelance mission.

The mission consists of leading the development and industrialization of an anti-money laundering (AML) detection platform, combining traditional rule engines and artificial intelligence (AI/ML) models. The objective is to improve detection efficiency, reduce false positives, and define the associated target operating model (TOM).

Deliverables

• Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, and development priorities for the AML platform.
• Translate business and regulatory needs into features, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage the product backlog, trade-offs, and Agile delivery cycles.
• Support the transition from Proof of Concept (PoC) to an industrialized, scalable, and production-ready platform.
• Collaborate with Data Science, ML Engineering, Architecture, IT, Model Risk, and Compliance teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities.
• Define the features for experimentation, comparison, validation, and deployment of detection models.
• Contribute to defining the Target Operating Model (TOM) for AML detection and its integration into investigation processes.
• Define performance indicators for models and the platform: precision, recall, false positive rate, detection efficiency, and operational impact.
• Ensure consideration of governance, explainability, human supervision, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Manage dependencies, risks, and trade-offs with business and technical stakeholders.
• Product vision and roadmap for the AML platform.
• Structured product backlog: epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Target Operating Model (TOM) for AML detection.
• Performance indicators (KPIs) and product success criteria.
