Production Planner / Manufacturing Control (APS)

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced production planner to optimize our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will be responsible for the independent scheduling and monitoring of assigned production areas using modern ERP, APS, and shop floor management systems.

Your tasks include proactively identifying potential improvements to increase on-time delivery and utilization, recognizing unsolvable scheduling delays, and communicating new deadlines early. You will conduct shop floor management and resolve operational conflicts in close cooperation with production, purchasing, and project coordinators to secure customer deadlines. You will also review and decide on order cancellations.

We expect expert knowledge in Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) with several years of practical experience in production planning, detailed planning, capacity planning, and manufacturing control. Sound experience in the introduction, optimization, or operational use of APS solutions in manufacturing environments is required. You should be able to analyze production and planning key figures and derive measures from them.

A completed technical degree (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Technology) or a comparable technical qualification with further training as a master craftsman or technician is required. Understanding of manufacturing processes in discrete manufacturing and the ability to read technical drawings are necessary. Experience in shop floor management and coordination between production, work preparation, purchasing, and supply chain complete the profile.
