Program Director - Patient Affairs - Pharma

Project overview

Our client, an international pharmaceutical laboratory, is launching the execution phase of a Group program for structuring patient engagement, following a feasibility phase conducted in 2026. The program is based on a global/local operational model and aims to create a connected digital ecosystem: patient organization MDM and CRM, patient insights repository, patient portal, and analytics. The mission is on behalf of the IT department, in tandem with the Business Program Director.

Missions

Candidate Profile

• Lead the Platform & Digital stream: IT master plan, budget, resources, QCDR steering, risk, dependency, and decision registers, reporting according to Group standards
• Oversee program governance: weekly core team, program and steering committees, documents for the Group investment committee, design authority with Architecture and Security, escalations to sponsors
• Define the target architecture by country wave (including US and China specificities), make Make/Buy/Upgrade decisions, and build the interoperability matrix with existing platforms (MDM, CRM, content management, finance)
• Frame the data component: governance and master data for patient organizations, quality, insight traceability, GDPR and health data compliance
• Organize synergies with related programs (global CRM, Medical Insights): decision rights, alignment bodies, asset sharing, roadmap consistency, preparation of cross-functional arbitration
• Prepare for Go Realization: Patient Insight Management and PRM functional specifications, IT costing, business case, digital roadmap by wave
• Conduct consultations and RFPs: specifications, scoring grid, presentations, recommendation
• Manage integrators and vendors on build, integrations, testing, acceptance, and deployment, then wave-based deployment (pilot then extension) and transition to run
• Coordinate the program with Digital, Architecture, Data, Security, Privacy, Compliance, Purchasing, Finance entities, subsidiaries, and external partners
• 12 years or more in steering complex IT/Digital programs, with significant program director experience
• International transformation programs led in a global/local model, with wave-based deployments in subsidiaries
• Experience with CRM, MDM, content management, and SaaS platforms, and solution selection via RFP
• Proficiency in managing suppliers and integrators, from build to run
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, integration, data governance, security, and AI/GenAI
• Project or program management certification (Prince2, PMI / PgMP or equivalent)
• Experience in Pharma, Life Sciences, Medical/Patient Affairs, or regulated environments: highly desirable
• Transversal leadership and management of multiple stakeholders (business, IT, sponsors, external partners)
• Fluent French and English (international environment, US partners)
