Job description
Coordinate multiple projects related to the reinforcement of the electricity grid, managing stakeholders, materials, and administrative processes from start to finish.
Project overview
Work you can be proud of. This is what you will do. Stedin is on the eve of its largest tender for reinforcing the electricity grid in 3,000 neighborhoods. To strengthen the electricity grid in neighborhoods, we are issuing this tender. This is Stedin's largest tender for electricity grid work to date. It concerns work for the 'Buurtaanpak' (Neighborhood Approach) in which Stedin strengthens the electricity grid neighborhood by neighborhood. The reinforcement is necessary due to the growing demand for electricity from sources such as electric charging, heat pumps, and the arrival of new homes and businesses.
Why do you want to work as a Project Coordinator at Stedin? Because you get energy from coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, liaising with various stakeholders, and contributing to the energy transition. You also ensure timely delivery of materials and checking revisions, additional work, and performance statements. The world is changing rapidly: more electric cars, new types of gas, and the feedback of self-generated energy. This requires smart adjustments to our grid. And we need you for that. What does your day as a Project Coordinator at Stedin look like?
What does your day look like as a project coordinator at Stedin? In the morning, you start with a cup of coffee and discuss ongoing projects with colleagues, monitoring their progress in terms of quality and budget. Together with the project leader, you coordinate from request to financial closure. You switch smoothly between stakeholders such as asset management, municipalities, and contractors, and make adjustments where deviations occur. Time for lunch! You have lunch in the company restaurant.
This way, you enjoy your own or affordably purchased lunch with your colleagues and then take a walk in the surroundings. After lunch, you have a meeting with one of the contractors to discuss bottlenecks and review the targets for the coming week. Coordinating the execution from the preparation of batches to administrative processing? You can leave that to us. Does something not go as planned? Then you take the lead to solve it and inform the involved parties. No day is the same: you switch between technology, planning, safety, stakeholders, and administration. Your strengths. We are happy with them.
Whoever you are, whatever you do, you are welcome with us. Because when you are yourself, it works a bit better. You bring your own style, experience, and energy. And that is reflected in the way you approach projects. You like to take charge, are decisive, and always prioritize safety. Because you are at the forefront of the energy transition, you have a nose for new technologies that make processes more efficient, safer, or smarter. You see opportunities to improve work methods and involve others in them. And when things get exciting? You are there. What else you bring as a project coordinator?
- Thanks to your completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably in a technical direction, you know how to bring structure to complex processes.
- You bring experience with project coordination or work preparation in a technical environment. You therefore also understand how important it is that everything is correct. From planning to administration.
- You are a connector and communicate easily with various stakeholders. Thanks to your communication skills, you ensure smooth collaboration, prevent misunderstandings, and keep projects on track.
- You bring proactive and solution-oriented skills. You identify bottlenecks and come up with improvement proposals. You likely already have examples of this from your current work, and we would love to hear them. A good team. You belong there. From day one, you become part of the Business Projects department. With approximately 25 fellow project leaders and project coordinators, you will join an open and close-knit team. All teams are a mix of young people and colleagues with years of experience, so you learn a lot from each other and arrive at the best solution together. We work hard and have passion for the work we do. And if you don't see the solution? There is always someone who will help you on your way with a fresh insight.
