Project overview

Description

Planning, implementation and commissioning coordination for MSR/EMSR work packages within industrial infrastructure and facility projects at the Dresden site. The assignment covers expert technical coordination from requirements definition and concept development through detailed engineering, installation, testing, handover and project documentation.

Most important/mandatory skills:

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, control engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
  • Several years of practical experience in planning and executing MSR/EMSR projects in industrial facilities, preferably in semiconductor, chemical, pharmaceutical or other high-availability production environments.
  • Sound knowledge of field instrumentation, sensors and actuators, control loops, PLC/DDC systems, building management systems and industrial communication interfaces.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing technical specifications, functional descriptions, I/O lists, loop diagrams, P&IDs, cause-and-effect matrices and commissioning documentation.
  • Proven ability to coordinate engineering partners, suppliers, installation companies and align with internal stakeholders while controlling schedule, cost, quality and technical risks.
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken; structured, independent and solution-oriented working style.

Nice to have

Main task/activity

Independent engineering and coordination of MSR/EMSR work packages for infrastructure projects, including requirements clarification, design review, implementation monitoring, commissioning and compliant handover to operations.

Other tasks and activities

  • Experience with Siemens SIMATIC/PCS 7/TIA Portal, Modbus, Profibus/Profinet or comparable automation and building-control systems.
  • Knowledge of functional safety, machine safety and explosion protection, including practical application of relevant IEC, EN, DIN and VDI/VDE standards.
  • Experience in cleanroom, utility, chemical supply/disposal, HVAC, water, gas or energy-management projects.
  • Project-management knowledge and experience with acceptance tests, FAT/SAT, commissioning and technical handover.
  • Consult and align on project requirements with facility engineering, operations, maintenance, safety, IT/OT and other involved disciplines and translate them into technical MSR/EMSR specifications.
  • Develop and review automation and control concepts, functional descriptions, control narratives, I/O lists, measuring-point lists, loop diagrams, interface definitions and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate and monitor external engineering companies, system integrators, suppliers and installation contractors and ensure technically consistent implementation across all interfaces.
  • Review design and execution documents for completeness, maintainability, standard compliance and integration into existing site infrastructure and control systems.
  • Plan and facilitate FAT, SAT, loop checks, functional tests, commissioning, troubleshooting and phased cutover while considering ongoing production and plant availability.
  • Monitor milestones, costs, quality, open points and technical risks; initiate corrective actions and transparently escalate project deviations.
  • Coordinate changes and document decisions, deviations, test results, as-built status and outstanding items in a traceable manner.
  • Prepare and conduct technical project reviews, construction-site coordination meetings and technical alignments with external partners and facilitate the hand-over interface to internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare complete project documentation and guide the technical transfer of systems to operations, maintenance and asset documentation.
