Project Manager Burner Systems

Responsibilities

The scope of services focuses in particular on the following tasks and activities:

+ Independent project management and coordination of several projects for the renewal of burner systems and associated infrastructure.

+ Control and coordination of the required engineering activities across the relevant project phases, particularly concept, basic and detail engineering, procurement, implementation, and commissioning.

+ Creation and further development of technical concepts, equipment layouts, and technical specifications for procurement and project implementation.

+ Technical support and evaluation of tenders, offers, and supplier services, including support with bid evaluation, scope definition, and claims management.

+ Coordination and alignment with internal departments, purchasing, suppliers, and other project participants in a brownfield environment.

+ Tracking of deadlines, costs, and progress of the supervised projects, as well as coordination of commissioned suppliers, including quality inspection of the services rendered.

+ Support of the implementation and commissioning phase, including technical clarifications, construction site coordination, and preparation of project handover.

Requirements

Professional Qualification and Professional Experience

+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or comparable technical qualification

+ Min. 10 years of professional experience in the management and execution of projects in mechanical plant engineering

+ Several years of experience in the planning, modernization, and optimization of industrial burner systems

+ Experience in controlling engineering activities and in coordinating suppliers and project participants

Project Experience / Industry and Environmental Knowledge

+ Several years of experience with the planning and implementation of CAPEX projects in the field of thermal process plants and industrial furnace technology

+ Sound understanding of metallurgical production processes and industrial furnace technology in the non-ferrous metal industry

+ Proven management or significant participation in at least two projects in an industrial brownfield environment

Method, Tool, and Language Skills

+ Confident use of MS Office applications

+ Application of common project management methods and tools for controlling deadlines, costs, progress, and interfaces

+ Structured communication with internal and external stakeholders

+ Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
