Job Title: Project Manager (Data Platform & Transformation)

Contract Length: 12 Months

• Lead the delivery of complex data platform and data transformation projects from initiation through to implementation
• Manage project plans, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies and governance throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams spanning data engineering, architecture, security and business stakeholders
• Drive the implementation of data governance frameworks and best practice across the programme
• Facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
• Provide regular reporting, project assurance and progress updates to senior leadership
• Manage third-party suppliers and delivery partners where required
• Ensure delivery aligns with organisational standards, security requirements and strategic objectives
• Support organisational change activities associated with new data capabilities and services
• Demonstrable experience delivering enterprise-scale data platform, data migration or data transformation programmes
• Strong understanding of data governance, data management and data engineering concepts
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse or Snowflake
• Excellent project controls capability covering scheduling, RAID management, finance and reporting
• Proven stakeholder management experience across senior business and technical audiences
• Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies
• Experience delivering within regulated, complex or public sector environments
• Excellent communication, leadership and facilitation skills
• Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced and evolving delivery landscape
• Central Government or wider Public Sector project delivery experience
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks
• ERP or enterprise systems transformation programmes
• APM, PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM or equivalent project management certifications
• Experience managing suppliers within complex delivery environments
• Hybrid working with 2-3 days per week onsite in Taunton
• Travel and accommodation expenses are not claimable
• Active transferable SC Clearance is required before commencement. Candidates without SC clearance will not be considered
• Candidates must be eligible to work solely within the UK and cannot work from overseas
• Inside IR35 engagement
• Dual nationals or OCI holders will not be eligible for this role due to the strict clearance requirements
