What will you do

As an Energy Transition Project Manager at the Municipality of Hoeksche Waard, you will work on challenging issues within the energy transition. You will be part of the Sustainability program, which focuses on energy transition, climate adaptation, circularity, and more. Together with the Energy and Heat Transition directors, you will determine the substantive course and contribute to the further development of the organization regarding sustainability. What makes this role extra interesting? You are stepping in at a dynamic moment, where both frameworks are being set and urgent issues need to be addressed.

You will collaborate daily with colleagues from various disciplines and have regular consultations with the board.

• Developing and writing policy documents and administrative proposals.
• Translating national developments to the situation within the Municipality of Hoeksche Waard.
• Providing administrative advice and preparing consultations.
• Coordinating and executing projects on energy generation, storage, and grid congestion.
• Bringing entrepreneurs together to make their energy management future-proof.
• Preparing and drafting a new policy framework.
• At least 2 years of experience in sustainability and/or the energy transition.
• Experience in independently handling projects and policy files within a municipal organization.
• Demonstrable expertise in administrative advice.
• Knowledge of topics such as grid congestion, energy generation, and storage.
• Skills in bringing diverse stakeholders together.
• Submit the CV in Dutch.
• Applying an extra link between the candidate and the supplier offering the candidate is not permitted.
• The personal motivation must demonstrate through substantiation that the candidate possesses the required competencies.
• The candidate possesses a proof of identity (a passport or identity card), which is valid at intake and on the start date of the candidate's contract and can be presented for verification.
• The VNG Model General Procurement Conditions for supplies and services apply to this assignment.
• The takeover period for flexible workers on a secondment basis is 1,404 hours.
• The takeover period for flexible workers on a temporary employment basis is 936 hours.
• Indexation is not applicable.
• If the supplier presents a freelancer, the agreement will be made exclusively directly with the freelancer; additional agreements fall outside the responsibility of the Municipality of Hoeksche Waard.
• A valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is mandatory for this placement. The costs for this are borne by the supplier and must be included in the rate. The candidate may only start once the VOG has been received.
• Upon termination of an assignment by the client, the following notice periods apply:
• Up to 8 weeks worked: notice period of 1 working week.
• Between 8 and 26 weeks worked: notice period of 3 working weeks.
• Longer than 26 weeks worked: notice period of 1 month.
• The rate depends on the knowledge and skills of the candidate.
• A candidate can only start after signing our cooperation agreement and the client-specific agreement for this client.
• With sufficient applications, the Municipality of Hoeksche Waard will close the assignment earlier than the indicated deadline in the portal. Therefore, submit a suitable candidate as soon as possible.
