Project Manager Gas Purification Systems

Responsibilities

The scope of services focuses in particular on the following tasks and activities:

+ Independent project management and control of several CAPEX projects in the field of gas purification systems from technical planning to commissioning.

+ Coordination and control of engineering activities as well as clarification of technical interfaces with internal specialist departments and external project participants.

+ Creation and updating of technical specifications, inquiry documents, and service descriptions for engineering, supply, and assembly services.

+ Technical review and evaluation of offers as well as support for project purchasing in awarding processes and supplier coordination.

+ Schedule, cost, and progress tracking of the supervised projects as well as coordination of the commissioned suppliers, including quality inspection of the services rendered.

+ Preparation, coordination, and support of the implementation, commissioning, and technical handover of the systems, including ongoing documentation and reporting.

Requirements

Professional Qualification and Work Experience

+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or comparable technical qualification

+ Min. 10 years of professional experience in the management and execution of projects in industrial plant construction

+ Several years of experience in the planning, modernization, and optimization of industrial gas purification systems (e.g., dry sorbent injection filters, bag filters, or wet electrostatic precipitators)

+ Experience in controlling engineering activities as well as in coordinating suppliers and project participants

Project Experience / Industry and Environmental Knowledge

+ Several years of experience with CAPEX projects in the field of industrial gas purification systems

+ Sound understanding of metallurgical production processes as well as industrial gas purification and exhaust air systems in the non-ferrous metal industry

+ Proven management or significant participation in at least two projects in an industrial brownfield environment

Method, Tool, and Language Skills

+ Confident use of MS Office applications

+ Application of common project management methods and tools for controlling schedules, costs, progress, and interfaces

+ Structured communication with internal and external stakeholders

+ Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
