Project overview

For a demanding pharmaceutical/engineering project, we are currently looking for experienced freelance support in the areas of Project Cost Management, Risk Governance, and Change Management.

Responsibilities

The focus is on conceptual and analytical support for a larger CAPEX/engineering project in the pharmaceutical production environment.

You will be responsible for:

Service delivery will be independent and advisory, based on your expertise. We are therefore looking for a personality who can independently analyze complex project structures, prepare them conceptually, and translate them into robust governance and reporting frameworks.

• Development of structures for Project Cost Reporting and Resource Analytics
• Conception of budget and work package structures as well as cost assignment matrices
• Creation and analysis of Planned, Actual, and Forecast Cost Reports
• Development of Risk Registers and Risk Governance Structures
• Structuring of tracking architectures for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities
• Conception of Change Management and Change Control processes
• Structuring of Change Requests, Change Logs, and Decision-making and Follow-up Processes
• Creation of analytical reports on costs, resources, risks, and project progress
• Development of structured decision-making and management templates
• Handover of the developed frameworks, analyses, and documentation to the project team

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Bio/Chemical Engineering, Project Management, or a comparable field
• At least 5 years of experience in Project Cost Management, Financial Controlling, Risk Management, or Change Governance
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or process/plant engineering environment
• Demonstrable experience with CAPEX, EPC, or facility revamp projects
• Very good knowledge of Cost Reporting, Forecasting, and Resource Analysis
• Experience in setting up Risk Governance and Change Management structures
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
• Independent, structured, and analytical way of working
• Experience in the biopharmaceutical/downstream environment
• Knowledge of peptide production or biopharmaceutical plant construction
• Experience with SAP, Power BI, Primavera, or sophisticated Excel financial models
• Certifications such as PMP/PMI, IPMA, CCP, or Prosci
• Good German language skills
