Project Manager / Site Manager (m/f/d) Overhead Line Construction

Project overview

For a demanding infrastructure project in the field of high-voltage overhead line construction, an experienced project manager or site manager (m/f/d) is sought. The focus is on the replacement and reinforcement of an existing high-voltage line with the goal of sustainably increasing the transmission capacity of the power grid.

Responsibilities

• Independent management and coordination of construction projects in overhead line construction
• Control and monitoring of construction execution in the area of high-voltage infrastructure
• Coordination and alignment of subcontractors, assembly crews, and other project participants
• Monitoring compliance with schedules, cost budgets, and quality requirements
• Ensuring compliance with applicable occupational safety regulations and technical standards
• Coordination of construction processes for replacement construction and pole replacements in the area of existing high-voltage lines
• Alignment of construction work, considering ongoing grid operation and necessary safety measures
• Monitoring construction progress, as well as documentation and reporting on project status
• Identification and resolution of technical and organizational challenges on the construction site
• Regular coordination with project management, the client, and other involved trades

Requirements

Framework Data

• Several years of professional experience in site or project management in overhead line construction or comparable infrastructure projects
• Sound knowledge in the construction and renewal of high-voltage overhead lines
• Experience in coordinating and monitoring complex construction site processes
• Knowledge in pole assembly, pole replacement, and possibly cable pulling work is an advantage
• Understanding of the special requirements for construction work in the vicinity of existing energy infrastructure
• Confident use of scheduling, construction progress control, and construction documentation
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, as well as a structured, independent way of working
• Assertiveness and communication skills in dealing with subcontractors and project participants
• High safety awareness and responsible handling of applicable regulations in overhead line construction
• Willingness for regular presence on the construction site
