Project-accompanying Quality Manager – IT Projects | QS Governance

Framework:

For our client in the Sparkasse environment, we are looking for an experienced Quality Manager who will be responsible for project-accompanying quality assurance within a complex IT project.

The focus of the activity is on overarching quality planning, monitoring of defined quality standards, and ensuring compliance with project-specific QS requirements.

You will accompany the project from a quality assurance and consulting perspective, review the implementation of agreed quality measures, and support project management in identifying and managing quality-relevant risks.

This is explicitly not an operational test management position. We are looking for an expert in overarching quality management and ensuring quality requirements within an IT project.

• Start: December 2026
• Duration: 6 months with extension option
• Utilization: Full-time
• Location: Predominantly remote, occasional on-site appointments by arrangement in Münster, Hanover, or Frankfurt

Responsibilities

• Derivation of the project's quality objectives from the project order in close coordination with the project manager
• Creation and continuous further development of quality planning in the form of the QS plan
• Planning, coordination, and control of defined quality assurance measures
• Regular review and updating of the QS plan according to project progress
• Verification of whether the defined control evidence and result types are complete and comply with specifications
• Regular coordination with project management and at management level
• Identification and transparent communication of quality-relevant topics, deviations, and risks
• Consulting and supporting the project manager and project team in implementing applicable regulations
• Ensuring the implementation of the intended QS measures and PMOplus specifications
• Accompanying the project with regard to structured and comprehensible quality assurance

• Several years of experience in project-accompanying quality management, ideally within complex IT projects
• Sound knowledge in the creation, monitoring, and updating of quality management and quality assurance plans
• Experience in reviewing quality specifications, control evidence, and project results
• Understanding of project governance, quality assurance processes, and documentation requirements
• Experience in collaborating with project management and various management levels
• Structured, analytical, and self-reliant way of working
• Ideally, experience in the banking sector, especially with Sparkassen or Finanz Informatik
• Knowledge of PMOplus specifications is an advantage
• Self-assessment of customer requirements
• Availability and possible utilization
