Responsibilities

Profile

• Project Controlling and Financial Management: Independent monitoring and analysis of project costs, deadlines, and performance, as well as creation of forecasts, target-actual comparisons, and variance analyses with recommendations for action.
• Management and Decision-Making Documents: Preparation and quality assurance of key figures, status reports, and decision-making bases for management and other committees.
• Business Cases: Review and plausibility check of business cases regarding completeness, economic efficiency, costs, benefits, and risks.
• Project Portfolio Management: Ensuring up-to-date project data and independent preparation and follow-up of portfolio steering meetings.
• Coordination and Quality Assurance: Independent coordination with project managers and the finance department, as well as early clarification of deviations, risks, and open questions.
• Process and Method Development: Further development of processes, standards, templates, and tools in project controlling and project portfolio management.
• Completed business administration degree or comparable education with a focus on finance, controlling, or project management.
• Experience in project controlling, ideally in project portfolio management or a comparable steering function.
• Strong analytical and networked thinking skills, as well as a good understanding of financial and organizational contexts.
• High degree of personal responsibility, strong self-organization, and the ability to independently prioritize multiple topics and reliably bring them to completion.
• Ability to critically question complex issues, prepare them understandably, and derive target-group-specific recommendations for action.
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and enjoyment of cross-departmental collaboration.
• Very good Excel and PowerPoint skills, ideally experience with Abacus and modern project management or project portfolio management tools.
• Enjoyment in actively further developing existing processes and methods and independently implementing improvements.
