The role involves coordinating and managing engineering activities for industrial plant construction projects, including technical specifications, supplier coordination, and progress tracking.
Project overview
The scope of services focuses in particular on the following tasks and activities:
+ Coordination and management of engineering activities as well as coordination of technical interfaces with internal departments and external project participants
+ Creation and updating of technical specifications, request documents, and service descriptions for engineering, supply, and assembly services.
+ Technical review and evaluation of offers as well as support for project purchasing in awarding processes and supplier coordination.
+ Tracking of deadlines, costs, and progress of the supervised project as well as coordination of the commissioned suppliers, including quality control of the services rendered.
+ Preparation of project application documents for the implementation phase in coordination with the Project Management Office
Requirements
Professional Qualification and Professional Experience
+ Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or comparable technical qualification
+ Min. 10 years of professional experience in managing and executing projects in industrial plant construction
+ Several years of experience in planning, modernizing, and optimizing industrial plants
+ Experience in managing engineering activities as well as in coordinating suppliers and project participants
Project Experience / Industry and Environmental Knowledge
+ Several years of experience with CAPEX projects in the field of industrial plants and conveying technology
+ Sound understanding of metallurgical production processes as well as industrial conveying systems in the non-ferrous metal industry
+ Proven management or significant participation in at least two projects in an industrial brownfield environment
Method, Tool, and Language Skills
+ Confident use of MS Office applications
+ Application of common project management methods and tools for controlling deadlines, costs, progress, and interfaces
+ Structured communication with internal and external stakeholders
+ Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
