• Conception and development of automated installation and configuration routines for defined IT services in a cloud environment using Puppet
• Conception for adapting and improving development processes as well as building the Puppet architecture; configuration and documentation of the Puppet systems
• Definition of standards for the development, iteration, and creation of system environments, development environments, basic services, as well as infrastructure and platform services with Puppet support
• Development of automated installation and configuration of Puppet Enterprise Master as well as various application services according to customer specifications
• Implementation of routines for iterating application services through in-place updates or through backup, reinstallation, configuration, and subsequent data recovery
• Implementation of a patch management for identifying required security updates, passing on update information via a monitoring tool to an external orchestrator, and performing externally triggered security updates and reboots using Puppet
• Development of Bash scripts for implementing automation processes.
• Further development of existing system environments, development environments, and basic services as well as new development of other defined IT services with Puppet
• Standardization of Configuration Management
• Documentation of the underlying IT services and the architecture
• Creation of a procedure for migrating and iterating IT services within the Puppet structures
• Analysis and evaluation of Puppet solutions based on architecture specifications, security requirements, and operational standards
• Extensive experience in Puppet development with version 4
• Confident knowledge in the area of documentation
• Knowledge in the area of automation
• Confident command of Ruby and Shell
• Experience in maintaining configuration files
• Willingness for security screening (SÜG2) is important
• For security reasons, work on the project may only be carried out in Germany
• 1-2 appointments per quarter may take place on-site at the customer's premises
