Job description

Seeking a PV System Planner with expertise in 3D module planning and CAD to support the technical development of photovoltaic solutions, from initial roof analysis to final planning documents.

Project overview

As a PV System Planner / 3D Module Planning & CAD, you will support the technical development of modern photovoltaic solutions from the initial roof analysis to the complete handover of planning documents. In this versatile position, you will combine technical understanding, spatial imagination, and careful CAD or PV planning. You will create precise 3D representations, plan the optimal use of roof areas, and evaluate irradiation, shading, and the expected energy yield. You will consider both the technical requirements of the system and material needs, installation effort, and economic efficiency.

Your structured approach is particularly important: your plans will form the basis for subsequent calculations, orders, and practical implementation. You will work independently, coordinate with relevant contacts on technical issues, and ensure that all documents are understandable, complete, and implementable. The position is particularly suitable for applicants with up to three years of professional experience who wish to further deepen their knowledge in the areas of photovoltaics, CAD, and technical building planning.

You will independently plan photovoltaic systems and carry out their technical design.

You will create 3D representations, roof area plans, and module layouts.

You will perform quantity surveys and create detailed parts lists for modules, inverters, mounting systems, cables, and other accessories.

You will calculate solar irradiation and analyze potential shading.

You will forecast the expected PV yield and the estimated self-consumption rate.

You will roughly calculate material requirements, installation effort, and labor costs.

You will create technical planning documents and hand them over completely and comprehensibly to the responsible interfaces.

You will check your plans for technical plausibility, completeness, and practical feasibility.

Requirements

For this position, you bring a strong interest in photovoltaics, CAD-supported planning, and energy-efficient technical systems. You do not need to have many years of professional experience: what counts is your meticulous way of working, your willingness to familiarize yourself with specific planning software, and your understanding of technical contexts. You can capture information from building and roof plans in a structured manner, assess relevant areas and dimensions, and develop reliable planning documents from them.

Furthermore, you should be able to understand technical calculations and document results comprehensibly. Since photovoltaic systems are often considered in conjunction with heat pumps and other building technology systems, knowledge of heat load calculation is particularly valuable. Training or a degree in a technical, electrical engineering, energy technology, or building technology field is desirable. Accuracy, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to develop solutions independently are equally important.

Initial professional experience of up to three years is suitable for this entry-level or junior position.

You have practical experience with CAD or PV planning software and can confidently navigate technical planning tools.

You have experience in quantity surveying and in planning material requirements.

You know the basics of solar irradiation calculation, shading analysis, and PV yield forecasting.

You can assess the degree of self-sufficiency and understand or calculate options for optimizing self-consumption.

You have knowledge of heat load calculation, especially in connection with the combination of photovoltaic systems and heat pumps.

You ideally have a technical education or a technical degree, for example in electrical engineering, energy technology, building technology, or a comparable field.

You work meticulously, analytically, and reliably, and can clearly document your planning results.

You ideally have experience in MEP planning, ventilation planning, or airflow calculation.

You ideally have experience with material and installation cost calculations.

You communicate technical issues comprehensibly and engage actively in new tasks.
