Develop back-end services in Python for asset, contract, and market operations management, integrating with various systems and leveraging AWS services.

As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for:

- Designing and developing back-end services in Python for the management of assets, contracts, and market operations.
- Developing APIs and data pipelines for the integration of applications within the overall information system.
- Building interfaces with messaging systems (MQTT, RabbitMQ) for real-time data ingestion.
- Working with PostgreSQL for modeling, optimizing, and managing relational and time-series data.
- Utilizing AWS services (RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, ECS as well as Docker).
- Collaborating with Product Managers and business experts to transform functional needs into robust and scalable software solutions.
- Participating in Agile processes: sprint planning, retrospectives, and team coordination.
- Contributing to bi-weekly production releases.
- Providing level 2 support for existing applications and for the production versions for which you are responsible.
- More than 6 years of experience in application Python development.
- Excellent command of PostgreSQL: schema design, performance optimization, and time-series data management.
- Significant experience with AWS services (RDS, S3, IAM, ECS) and Docker.
- Good understanding of energy trading: position management, Day-Ahead, Intraday markets, and system services.
- Experience in API development, data pipelines, real-time flows, and system integration.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
- Fluent English essential.
- Fluent French essential.
- Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
- Knowledge of electricity markets and renewable technologies (solar, wind, battery storage systems) and their specifics in asset management and energy trading.
- Experience in Front-End development with React.
- Experience with FastAPI or equivalent frameworks (Flask, Django).
- Knowledge of container orchestration and/or CI/CD pipelines.
