QA Engineer (Senior Quality Engineer)

Mission Context

Our client, a major player in mobility, operates a multi-client distribution platform. They are looking for a Quality Engineer to define and manage the testing and automation strategy for an agile team working on the backend foundation. The team includes a PO, a Scrum Master, and 4 to 6 developers.

Your Missions

Manage the team's testing strategy

Develop and maintain automated API tests

Ensure functional validation

Contribute to release validation

Support the team and foster quality practices

Technical Environment

• Define the testing approach in line with the functional, technical, and operational stakes of the product
• Guide technical decisions related to quality and automation
• Implement, monitor, and share quality and automation indicators
• Propose areas for continuous improvement of testing practices
• Analyze the internal model and existing architecture to identify relevant test scenarios
• Design and develop automated API tests
• Evolve and maintain the automated testing framework
• Analyze failures and stabilize automated campaigns
• Prepare and execute acceptance tests based on criteria defined with the team
• Perform regression tests and analyze anomalies
• Share results and support the team in defect resolution
• Validate versions before production deployment, with two releases per week
• Assess the quality level and risks of each version
• Formulate and share a reasoned Go / No Go recommendation
• Raise team awareness of best practices in testing, automation, and software quality
• Participate in continuous integration and the software factory (automated deployments and tests)
• Contribute to component migration projects towards deployment standards (continuous delivery, cross-functional technical consistency), with a strong emphasis on change management
• Collaborate with other QAs / QEs in the domain to align practices with the overall testing strategy
• Languages: Java 21 (Kotlin appreciated)
• Tests: Cucumber, Postman, Bruno, mock servers (WireMock appreciated)
• Build: Gradle, Maven
• Monitoring: Datadog
• CI/CD: GitLab
• Cloud: AWS / Azure knowledge appreciated
