Job description
The company is seeking a QA/QC Engineer with experience in steel and facade construction. The role involves ensuring quality throughout the project lifecycle, from specification review to final acceptance.
Responsibilities
Qualification:
- Review and evaluation of customer specifications and technical requirements
- Creation, coordination, and further development of quality documents, especially Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Accompanying and managing approval processes with customers and other project participants
- Planning and execution of supplier audits
- Monitoring of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Quality control at suppliers and manufacturers
- Review of technical documentation, test documents, and material certificates
- Accompanying acceptance inspections before delivery of components
- Support in quality assurance for steel, facade, and glass constructions
- Participation in the further development of existing management systems according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- Prospectively, accompanying acceptance inspections and quality issues with suppliers as well as on construction sites in other European countries
- Completed degree in civil engineering, ideally with a focus on steel construction, or a comparable technical qualification
- Sound experience in steel construction, ideally in architectural steel or facade construction
- Comprehensive knowledge in steel and stainless steel processing
- Good knowledge in the field of corrosion protection
- Sound knowledge of relevant standards and regulations, especially:
- EN 1090
- EN ISO 12944
- Experience in the creation and processing of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Experience in quality assurance within construction, steel construction, or comparable international large-scale projects
- Knowledge in glass and aluminum technology
- Confident use of technical specifications, customer requirements, and quality documentation
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken
- Strong communication skills, structured way of working, and confident demeanor towards customers, suppliers, and other project participants
