Freelance QA/QC Manager (m/f/d) - Large Project (CRITICAL)

For a state-of-the-art construction project in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), we are looking for an experienced freelance QA/QC Manager (m/f/d) for client-side quality assurance and warranty processing as soon as possible.

As a freelance QA/QC Manager, you will be independently responsible for managing quality assurance measures from construction execution through completion to the warranty phase.

• Manage quality control: You will monitor project-wide QC processes and ensure compliance with all contractual quality requirements
• Defect & inspection management: You will monitor inspections, test certificates, non-conformances, and defect lists (punch/snagging lists) and actively drive corrective actions
• Interface coordination: You will coordinate the quality reporting system in close exchange with general contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal client stakeholders
• Handover & After-Care: You will support the completion and handover process and be responsible for the seamless tracking of remedial work during the after-care or warranty phase
• Prevention: You will establish "Lessons Learned" processes and preventive measures to sustainably minimize recurring defects and costly rework
• Experience in quality management: Sound, practically proven experience in QA/QC for large-scale construction projects (ideally in industrial construction, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, or data centers)
• Knowledge of local authority regulations: Sound understanding of the requirements of local approval authorities (AHJ, e.g., building control office, TÜV, fire safety inspectors) to ensure full project compliance
• Language skills: As the project language is English, you communicate fluently in it. Good German language skills are urgently required for coordination with local subcontractors and authorities on-site in NRW
• Availability: Willingness for full-time, freelance presence on-site at the construction site (Monday to Friday)
• Availability / Earliest possible start date
• All-in hourly rate or daily rate for the location in NRW
