Quality Manager (m/f/d) Civil Engineering & Infrastructure | Hybrid

For a long-term, large-scale infrastructure project in the Würzburg area, we are looking for two experienced Quality Managers (m/f/d) who will ensure the highest quality standards in civil engineering and underground cable construction with their expertise. You will play a central role in the project and be the first point of contact for all matters concerning quality management, quality assurance, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Central point of contact for all QM, QA, and QC topics within the sub-project
• Contact person for overarching quality management topics towards sub-project managers, quality officers, and overall project management
• Communication of escalations, necessary changes, and further developments to project management
• Ensuring regular quality reporting
• Continuous review of customer-specific requirements and their conformity with the existing QM system
• Support with internal and external audits according to ISO 19011
• Planning, moderation, and follow-up of lessons learned processes
• Organization and execution of quality visits in production, warehousing, and on construction sites
• Establishment and further development of deviation registers as well as quality findings and non-conformities
• Moderation of quality deviations with the respective originators, including documentation and measure tracking
• Ensuring the implementation of quality-relevant processes and milestones (e.g., QCP, ITP, FAT, manufacturing start meetings, Q-Gates, and documentation standards)
• Compliance with and implementation of overarching quality specifications, goals, KPI structures, reporting requirements, and defined SharePoint standards

• Completed technical degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, Infrastructure, or a comparable technical qualification with relevant professional experience in quality management
• Several years of professional experience in civil engineering, ideally in infrastructure or cable projects
• Very good knowledge of quality management systems, especially ISO 9001 and audit methodologies
• Experience in creating and processing quality documents such as QMP, ITP, and inspection plans
• Sound knowledge of earthworks and underground cable construction as well as relevant standards, construction methods, and testing and measurement techniques
• Experience in complaint management using the 8D method
• Analytical and structured way of working
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills when dealing with construction site personnel, project teams, contractors, and subcontractors
• Assertiveness in quality-critical situations
• Teamwork and resilience, even in demanding project phases
• Willingness to travel within Germany
