Project overview
This contract role sits in Euronext’s IT Market Services Integration and Release Management teams, helping ensure software components and interfaces work reliably across delivery and release. The core requirements are hands-on integration testing of backend or middleware applications, test automation, Python scripting, Linux knowledge, and ownership of QA scope, coverage, defects, and release readiness. Experience testing banking or brokerage applications is explicitly identified as a selection criterion, and fluent English is required.
The structured experience range is 4–10 years; the description does not specify a work arrangement, so that remains unconfirmed. The role is based in Porto, and AI tooling to create or improve testing processes is mentioned as a capability rather than a clearly stated mandatory requirement.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and challenge business and technical specifications, leveraging AI capabilities where relevant, covering end-to-end integration flows, interfaces, data exchanges, dependencies, exception handling and operational scenarios.
- Define and own the complete QA scope, integration test strategy, automation strategy and coverage objectives for all impacted systems and business flows.
- Maintain full traceability from requirements, specifications and delivery scope to test scenarios, test cases, automated tests, execution results and defects.
- Review and formally sign off the QA scope, test strategy, automation strategy, integration flows, test plan and quality objectives.
- Own the QA readiness assessment for the delivery by continuously evaluating scope coverage, automation coverage, execution progress, defect status, quality gates and residual risks.
- Execute integration tests to validate the interaction between different software modules.
- Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure thorough coverage.
- Simulate real-world scenarios to test system behavior under various conditions.
- Defect Management
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
- Work with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are resolved.
Requirements
- Hands-on testing of backend or middleware applications
- Integration testing of software components, interfaces, and data exchanges
- Test automation proficiency and maintenance of automated regression tests
- Python scripting for test automation
- Linux operating system and command-line knowledge
- End-to-end QA lifecycle experience, including planning, execution, defect management, regression, and release readiness
- Autonomous ownership and follow-up of QA scope, coverage gaps, risks, and delivery status
- Working experience testing banking or brokerage applications
- Fluent English
