Quality Assurance Specialist

Responsibilities

+ Monitoring, inspection, and documentation of the proper fabrication of steel structures in steel and bridge construction

+ Primarily carrying out non-destructive testing of welds, including associated documentation according to applicable standards and regulations

+ Performing quality controls and final inspections

+ Random sampling of externally processed components upon goods receipt or delivery

+ Creation and maintenance of documentation using predefined Excel templates

Requirements

+ Experience in welding technology, ideally in steel construction, mechanical engineering, or a comparable technical field

+ Qualification according to DIN EN ISO 9712 (not certification according to the American ASME standard)

+ Certification in non-destructive testing (NDT), particularly for visual testing (VT) and magnetic particle testing (MT)

+ Very good German language skills, both written and spoken

+ Experience in steel construction, bridge construction, and ideally in projects for Deutsche Bahn

+ Additional qualification in corrosion protection, e.g., KOR-Schein, Corrosion Inspector, Coating Inspector, or comparable further training, with knowledge of multi-layer corrosion protection systems in steel construction and the railway environment
