Job description
We are seeking an experienced consultant for a regulatory assessment of an aroma inhaler manufactured in Thailand for the German market. The focus is on classifying the product and identifying relevant requirements under GPSR, CLP, and REACH.
Project overview
We plan to introduce an aroma inhaler manufactured in Thailand ("Ya Dom") to the German market. The product contains menthol, essential oils, and other aromatic or volatile ingredients, and is intended to be marketed without any medical or therapeutic claims.
We are looking for an experienced consultant for an initial regulatory assessment. Specifically, we need to determine the likely product category and identify relevant requirements under GPSR, CLP, REACH, and potentially other EU or German regulations. It is also important to distinguish it from medicinal products.
A qualitative list of ingredients is already available. The quantitative formulation is currently treated as confidential by the manufacturer. Therefore, it should also be clarified which composition data are absolutely necessary for further regulatory assessment.
The assignment is intentionally designed as a compact initial assessment and is expected to comprise only a few hours. A brief written assessment with the most important regulatory risks, open points, and recommended next steps is desired.
Ideally, the consultant has experience in product safety, product classification, chemical law, REACH, CLP, GPSR, and potentially toxicological assessment of substances used inhalatively or volatile substances.
Collaboration can be fully remote.
