Role: REMOTE Java Software Engineer (Developer Programmer Java Python Automation Data Lake Datalake Data Mesh CI/CD Big Data AWS SQL Finance Trading Contract Contractor Consultant Financial Services Banking Remote Working AWS Trading Asset Manager Management Front Office Derivatives Equities FX Fixed Income Bonds Commodities Markets) required by our financial services client in Dublin, Ireland. You will join a new team that is being assembled to build a new data management platform on AWS.
The greenfield project will include the automation of data catalogue population and the implementation of data governance policies. You will be a lead for a junior team member and later joined by other team members later this year. It will be a project of 2-3 years and will be fully remote. As a small team, you will also be involved in design, DevOps and testing. You will be confident with CI/CD pipelines, IaC and containerization. You will also be comfortable with enterprise-scale SQL and/or Oracle databases. You will be interacting directly with the business.
As such, you will need a foundation in financial products across either equities, FX, fixed income (bonds) or commodities markets. Knowledge of derivatives would also be highly desirable (futures, options, forwards, swaps).
Hours are 8.30am - 5.30pm.
- Good experience as a Java Software Engineer/Developer/Programmer
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- CI/CD pipelines
- TDD
- Enterprise-scale SQL or Oracle
- Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience within the front or middles offices
- knowledge of equities, FX, fixed income (bonds) or commodities markets.
- Derivatives (futures, options, forwards, swaps)
