REMOTE Technical Project Manager IT Security

Project overview

We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager for a security programme, which aims to raise the organisation's security maturity and is split into several workstreams, each needing its own lead.

As workstream lead you plan and steer complex IT security projects, track milestones, risks and dependencies, and keep business departments, IT units and external providers aligned. You work closely with the security architecture, cloud, infrastructure and operations teams, prepare materials for management and steering committees, and support the organisation on regulatory and audit requirements.

• Duration: until 31.12.2026, extension until 31.03.2027 possible
• Workload: 40h/week
• Language: German and English, both at a very high level
• Location: Remote/Hannover, at least 1 day/week on-site
• 5+ years as a project or programme manager in IT or IT security
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud and security architectures
• Solid experience in at least one area: PAM, vulnerability and patch management, SOC, cloud security, or network security and hardening
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent German and English; experience in regulated industries such as insurance or banking, with NIST, ISO 27001 or DORA, or a PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, CISSP or CISM certification is a plus
