Requirements Engineer Banking – Credit Area, Remote with Budapest

Project overview

Project Goal: An experienced Requirements Engineer is sought for a long-term project at a financial institution, who is proficient in the credit business and forms the bridge between the business department and development. The project includes software in the credit area, from online financing and credit decisions to the management of ongoing loans.

Job facts: Direct client project

• Drive Requirements Engineering throughout the entire software lifecycle
• Elicit requirements directly from stakeholders and subject matter experts, check for inconsistencies, and coordinate them
• Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and business concepts that serve as a working basis for development
• Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement and prioritization
• Assess the business and technical impact of changes to existing systems or processes
• Conduct error analysis, accompany UAT, and support business acceptance
• Maintain and update documentation on requirements and implementation
• At least 5 years of experience as a Requirements Engineer, Business Analyst, or System Analyst
• Experience in banking or with financial service providers
• Proven experience in creating complex requirements and specifications
• Good SQL skills and a sound understanding of data models, APIs, and system interfaces
• Practical experience in agile teams with Scrum
• Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
• Strong communication skills in dealing with stakeholders
• Independent working style at a senior level with rapid productivity without extensive training
• Experience in the credit business, e.g., in the areas of Loan Origination, Online Financing, Credit Assessment, Credit Decision, or Loan Servicing
• Knowledge of Camunda or another tool for process modeling
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience working with internationally distributed teams
• Experience in testing, UAT, and error analysis
