SAP ABAKUS / SAP GP Developer & Consultant

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for three experienced SAP consultants or SAP developers to support and further develop a SAP-based banking landscape with a focus on ABAKUS, SAP GP, and SAP Workflow. The focus is on independently processing error tickets and changes, analyzing and resolving disruptions up to go-live, as well as customizing and programming adjustments with ABAP/ABAP OO. Profiles with several years of practical experience in ABAKUS and SAP GP are particularly sought, who can operate confidently in both ongoing operations and project and change situations.

The assignment is long-term throughout 2027 and, after agreement, foresees a 50/50 split between presence in Kiel and remote work.

Responsibilities

Support of line operations with a focus on SAP ABAKUS, SAP GP, and SAP Workflow

Independent processing of error tickets and changes

Analysis, reproduction, and resolution of errors up to the final solution in the production system

Execution of programming and customizing adjustments

Installation of SAP Notes as well as necessary adjustments and modifications

Support of other developers in troubleshooting

Evaluation and implementation of business and technical changes

Coordination of releases and go-lives, including subsequent monitoring and follow-up support

Module support for ABAKUS and SAP GP, especially grant object, grant management, object management, prolongation, and e-archive

Execution of cooperation transports and control activities

Creation of high-quality concepts, analyses, and documentation

Coordination with business departments and adjacent SAP modules

Support and coordination of interfaces to upstream and downstream applications, especially Finanz@ss, FGCenter, customer portal, reporting, and data warehouse

Support of various project situations in the SAP environment

Must-have Skills

SAP ABAKUS / Abacus, at least 3–5 years of experience

SAP GP, at least 3–5 years of experience

In-depth experience in the complete module support and customizing of SAP ABAKUS and SAP GP

Knowledge of ABAP and ABAP OO, at least 1–3 years

Practical knowledge of SAP Workflow

Knowledge of SAP ArchiveLink

Experience in independent error analysis and troubleshooting in the SAP production environment

Experience with the implementation of changes as well as SAP Notes, adjustments, and modifications

Experience with interfaces or coordination of upstream and downstream applications

Very good, fluent German language skills

Nice-to-have Skills

Development and maintenance of institute-specific SAP workflows and customizings

Knowledge of KfW-BDO (Bank Durchleitung Online)

SAP BRF+

SAP CML

SAP CMS

Experience with the automation of business processes, for example based on IPLS1, IPLS2 or PlugIn

Support of interfaces to the e-archive

Experience with the migration or conversion of the relevant modules to SAP S/4HANA

Existing experience with the described system landscape or comparable topics from the client's environment
