Project overview

For an enterprise project in the international SAP environment, we are looking for an experienced SAP Advanced Event Mesh / Event-Driven Architecture Consultant (m/f/d) on short notice.

We are seeking a very senior consultant or architect with profound experience in Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) as well as SAP Advanced Event Mesh / Solace. A particular focus is on the integration of SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC with event-based architectures, as well as the establishment of scalable architecture and governance standards.

Project Framework

Responsibilities

• Consulting and further development of a company-wide Event-Driven Architecture
• Architecture and conception of solutions with SAP Advanced Event Mesh
• Conception and implementation of SAP-based Event Flows
• Event-enabling of SAP ECC / SAP S/4HANA, ideally using the ASAPIO Integration Add-on
• Consulting on Event Triggers, Topics, Payloads, Schemas, Filtering, and Sequencing
• Definition of standards for Event Ownership, Versioning, and Lifecycle Management
• Development of governance and operating models for the Event Platform
• Architecture consulting on Publish/Subscribe, Event Streaming, and asynchronous integration patterns
• Definition of reusable Reference Architectures and Design Patterns
• Conducting Architecture and Design Reviews
• Consulting on Monitoring, Error Handling, Security, and Operational Readiness
• Support and coaching of architects, developers, and integration teams

• Several years of experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)
• Practical project experience with SAP Advanced Event Mesh and/or Solace PubSub+
• Very good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC integration
• Experience with SAP BTP and modern SAP integration architectures
• Experience with Event Brokers, Event Mesh, Publish/Subscribe, and asynchronous communication
• Experience as an Integration Architect, Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or Principal Consultant
• Ideally additionally:

• We are not looking for a pure SAP BTP or ABAP developer, but an experienced Event-Driven Architecture / Integration Consultant who can cover both the technical SAP integration and the overarching architecture and governance level.
