SAP Integration Architect / SAP Basis Expert (Senior focus on Legacy Systems)

For an innovative technology company in the early growth stage, a proven SAP heavyweight is sought to technically and strategically support the development of a platform for accelerating SAP migrations. We are looking for a personality who has been successfully involved with technical integrations, data extractions, and access to complex legacy SAP systems for many years, ideally for decades.

Requirements

• Many years of demonstrable experience as an SAP Basis expert, SAP Technical Architect, or in a comparable senior role
• At least 15 years, ideally 20 years or longer, of successful work with SAP integrations and legacy SAP systems
• Very solid experience with technical integrations, data extractions, and access to SAP ECC
• In-depth knowledge of SAP ECC and a robust understanding of SAP S/4HANA
• Practical experience with SAP authorizations, authentication, system communication, and security requirements
• Experience collaborating with SAP Basis, Infrastructure, and Security teams
• Demonstrable experience in SAP migration projects, especially in the transition from ECC to S/4HANA
• Ability to independently analyze complex technical issues and develop robust solutions
• Very strong communication skills in direct exchange with clients and technical stakeholders
• Independent, structured, and responsible way of working

• Analysis of existing SAP ECC landscapes regarding programmatic data access and migration requirements
• Conception and technical support of integrations between SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and an external software platform
• Development and evaluation of suitable interfaces, communication paths, and technical extraction methods for legacy SAP systems
• Coordination with SAP Basis, Security, and Infrastructure teams on the client side
• Definition and implementation of required authorizations, authentications, and system authorizations
• Support in setting up and validating secure data access to SAP systems
• Evaluation of technical risks and development of robust solution approaches for various client environments
• Advising the internal development team on SAP-specific architecture and integration issues
• Direct communication with clients and independent technical clarification of complex requirements
• Transferring findings into clear technical specifications, integration concepts, and actionable recommendations
