Project overview

For a major international specialty chemicals industrial group, we are looking for a senior SAP CO consultant to lead the migration of cost center management and budget process from ECC to S/4HANA.

The client wishes to fully leverage the new S/4HANA functionalities: new Fiori transactions and applications, redesigned budget process, posting review. The objective is to be operational for the next budget cycle (end of implementation in June/July 2027), then to ensure hypercare in August-September.

Functional scope:

Your missions:

Approximately 20 years of experience in SAP CO, with recognized expertise in S/4HANA (cost centers, planning and budget, Fiori)

Good knowledge of ECC to understand the existing system and the gaps with the target

Ability to communicate at an equal level with project ownership and understand their challenges

Ease of working with internal experts and supervising development teams

Ability to build and manage a project from end to end

Fluent English (international meetings)

• Fixed costs management: cost centers and budget
• Out of scope: cost of goods sold, valuation, variable costs
• Review of old accounting natures in the S/4HANA model
• Set up the project with project ownership (Finance / Management Control) and internal SAP experts: scoping, design, planning
• Translate business needs into an S/4HANA solution: CO configuration (customizing), budget process, Fiori applications
• Perform configuration with internal teams and supervise development teams if specific developments are necessary
• Lead testing, acceptance, training, and cutover phases
• Ensure monitoring and explanation of progress reports, risks, and planning to steering committees
• Support deployment across a global scope of 36 companies: Europe, Asia (Malaysia, Korea, China…) and the United States
• Ensure hypercare after go-live (August-September)
