SAP Crystal Reports Migration Coach (CR4E to CR 2020)

Project overview

The client uses reports created with SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise (CR4E). As CR4E will no longer be maintained in the future, the reports are to be migrated to SAP Crystal Reports 2020 (CR2020). After an initial migration on a test system, most existing reports no longer function as expected.

The client is looking for a consultant to empower the client's team through coaching and guidance to adapt the existing reports for Crystal Reports. The client's team will handle the adaptation of the remaining reports themselves.

Responsibilities

Schedule and Collaboration

• Analysis of the current situation after migrating CR4E to CR2020 on a test system
• Result: Evaluation of the migration situation and the main reasons why existing CR4E reports are not functioning correctly after migration
• Coaching the team on how to adapt existing CR4E reports for CR2020
• Result: Coaching using selected example reports so that the team can adapt the remaining reports independently
• Explanation of the relevant functional differences between CR4E and CR2020, including functions that are no longer available in CR2020
• Result: Overview of the relevant functional differences and limitations
• Review of current Crystal Reports administration settings and recommendations based on best practices
• Result: Review and recommendations on administration settings
• Brief documentation of results, recommendations, and next steps
• Coaching, migration guidance, administration review, and documentation will be delivered within approximately 10 working days after start or upon receipt of necessary access and information.
• Coordination of requirements, results, and needed information with the designated client contact person and relevant project stakeholders.
• Results-oriented contract: You determine the method, type, timing, and location of service delivery yourself.
