Project overview

For a client in Bonn, we are currently looking for several

SAP Developers (m/f/d) SAP BI Environment

Responsibilities

• Analysis and evaluation of new requirements (change requests) regarding technical feasibility and existing infrastructure, as well as creation of technical implementation concepts in coordination with the client
• Analysis and optimization of existing developments and architectures in SAP BW/4HANA regarding performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Development and filling of ADSOs using transformations and DTPs according to LSA++ as well as implementation of ABAP/ABAP OO routines for data acquisition
• Development of CDS Views, Metadata Extensions, CDS Table Functions as well as solutions based on BOPF and RAP
• Development and evaluation of CDS-DCL and PFCG authorization concepts
• Creation of SAP OData Services (V2/V4) via the integrated Gateway as well as development of a framework for service setup and data provision for the frontend
• Technical documentation of developments in code as well as execution of go-live activities and subsequent stabilization of implemented solutions
• Presentation of development results in agreed regular meetings with the client
• Creation, maintenance, and independent processing of JIRA tickets based on analyzed requirements and implementation concepts using the pull principle, including documentation of development statuses as well as preparation and follow-up of sprint planning
• Monitoring and maintenance of open tickets, closing of completed tasks, and creation of follow-up tickets
• Creation and updating of technical specifications, test cases, role and authorization concepts, technical and process-related development documentation, as well as user guides
• Creation, maintenance, and further development of online documentation and technical assistance in Confluence

• At least 5 years of professional experience
• Sound knowledge in the implementation of SAP BW projects with SAP BW/4HANA
• Confident handling of ABAP Objects (ABAP OO) for the development of customer-specific application classes in SAP BW/4HANA
• Very good knowledge in the creation of Virtual Data Models (VDM) with ABAP CDS Views, CDS Table Functions, and CDS-DCL
• Knowledge in the modeling and creation of Basic Views, Composite Views, and Consumption Views within a VDM
• Expertise in the conception and implementation of complex data models considering the LSA++ architecture, including multi-level transformations, historization, language dependencies, and partitioning
• Knowledge in data provisioning in SAP BW/4HANA, especially in the creation of CDS extractors as well as the conception and setup of process chains with transformations and DTPs
• Sound knowledge in the development of SAP OData Services (V2/V4) via the integrated SAP BW/4HANA Gateway, including the creation of service frameworks and data provision for frontend
• Ability to analyze technical concepts, review functional and technical requirements, and develop suitable implementation proposals
• At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance of development results, including identification and analysis of deviations as well as derivation and documentation of suitable countermeasures
• Confident handling of Atlassian JIRA for project documentation as well as for the creation and maintenance of tickets
• Knowledge in the creation of technical documentation, especially of detailed implementation concepts and documents for visualizing data flows
• Willingness for SÜ2
• German at least C1
• Required proof: references must not be older than 7 years
