Project overview

Initial Situation:

Technical and functional support in the area of SAP Business Partner (Employee-GP) in HCM for S/4HANA (H4S4) is required for two client projects.

One client faces challenges with HCM-BP integration, GP number assignment, redundant GP roles, and automatic synchronization. An existing BAdI implementation is rated as technically critical.

The second client has issues with the synchronization of employee business partners and employee vendors, particularly with missing infotype data, mandatory fields in bank details, multiple employment, and potential duplicate vendors.

Cross-Project Tasks

Framework Data:

• Analyze GP synchronization (BAdI implementation, number ranges, groupings, roles, deactivated sync)
• Define target state for number assignment and roles with a view to S/4-ERP from 2029, plan for cleanup of existing GPs and reactivation of synchronization
• Evaluate solution path for employee vendors without bank details for companies without payroll, without HR having to maintain bank data
• Assess cases with multiple personnel numbers (email determination via IT0105/IT0712, duplicate vendors)
• Start with 3–4 days: For each client, an analysis of the current system status and a robust solution proposal. Implementation will be re-evaluated together afterward.
• Document results for each client and present them in meetings with the client
• Start Date: As soon as possible, ideally early November 2026
• Duration: Approx. 4–6 weeks (initial phase)
• Workload: 0.5–1 day per week, total 3-4 days

Requirements

• HCM-BP integration in H4S4, new model /SHCM/EE_BP_1 (Person and Employment GP, Sync Reports, SLG1, T77S0 HRALX)
• CVI and BP Customizing (groupings, number ranges, GP roles, V_TBC001, account groups, field status)
• ABAP: BAdI /SHCM/B_EE_BP_SYNC, implicit enhancements, debugging of sync classes
• Employee Vendor and FI Vendors Master Data in BP (PTRV_VENDOR_SYNC, LFA1/LFB1/LFB1/LFBK, Bank IDs)
• PA Infotypes 0006, 0009, 0105, 0709, 0712 and multiple employment
• Cleanup and mass correction of existing GPs (roles, number assignment)
• Employee Central to S/4 via BIB, Travel Expenses (FI-TV), GP Distribution HR to S/4-ERP (ALE)
