Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-OIL PRA Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong functional expertise in upstream Oil & Gas business processes and a proven track record of delivering end-to-end SAP PRA implementations, enhancements, and production support projects.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of Production Accounting, Revenue Accounting, Ownership Management, Contracts and Pricing, Prior Period Adjustments (PPA), and volumetric and financial reconciliation. The role requires hands-on experience in requirements gathering, functional solution design, SAP configuration, RICEFW development coordination, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, and post-go-live support.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional SAP consultants to deliver robust, scalable, and business-aligned solutions.

• SAP PRA Implementation and Functional Consulting
• Lead and support end-to-end SAP IS-OIL PRA implementation and enhancement initiatives.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, conduct workshops, and translate requirements into functional solutions.
• Review existing business processes and recommend improvements aligned with upstream Oil & Gas operations.
• Prepare functional specifications, solution design documents, process flows, and configuration documentation.
• Support SAP PRA configuration, validation, and functional troubleshooting.
• Production and Revenue Accounting
• Support production accounting, revenue accounting, ownership management, and contract-related business processes.
• Work with volumetric data, ownership allocations, pricing calculations, and revenue distribution processes.
• Support production and financial reconciliation to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
• Investigate discrepancies between operational volumes, ownership records, revenue calculations, and financial postings.
• Manage and support Prior Period Adjustments (PPA), including impact analysis, adjustment processing, reconciliation, and financial validation.
• RICEFW and Functional Specifications
• Analyze business requirements for RICEFW objects: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications, including business logic, validation rules, mapping requirements, and exception handling.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers and technical teams throughout development, testing, and deployment.
• Validate custom developments and enhancements against approved business requirements.
• Integration and Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Support SAP PRA integration with relevant SAP modules, including:
• SAP FI/CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling)
• SAP JVA (Joint Venture Accounting)
• SAP MM (Materials Management)
• SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)
• Analyze integration issues, data inconsistencies, and posting discrepancies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end business process integrity.
• Testing and Quality Assurance
• Develop and execute functional test scenarios, test scripts, and test cases.
• Lead or support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-to-end testing.
• Validate business processes, integrations, financial calculations, and data quality.
• Manage defects, conduct root-cause analysis, coordinate resolutions, and perform regression testing.
• Support business users during testing and obtain appropriate validation of test outcomes.
• Cutover, Go-Live, and Production Support
• Support cutover planning, mock cutovers, data migration validation, and go-live readiness activities.
• Assist with reconciliation, risk assessment, rollback planning, and deployment coordination.
• Provide hypercare and post-go-live support to stabilize SAP PRA operations.
• Resolve incidents, support service requests, and deliver functional enhancements.
• Maintain functional documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP IS-OIL Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA).
• Demonstrable experience in upstream Oil & Gas business processes.
• Experience delivering SAP PRA implementations, enhancements, and production support.
• Strong knowledge of Production Accounting, Revenue Accounting, Ownership Management, and Contracts and Pricing.
• Hands-on experience with Prior Period Adjustments (PPA) processing.
• Experience preparing RICEFW functional specifications and working with technical development teams.
• Practical experience in SIT, UAT, end-to-end testing, defect management, and regression testing.
• Understanding of volumetric reconciliation, financial validation, and accounting integration.
• Experience supporting cutover, go-live, hypercare, and operational issue resolution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience working on complex SAP IS-OIL PRA implementation and transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of upstream production data flows, ownership allocation, revenue calculations, and financial postings.
• Experience with data migration, reconciliation, and business process controls.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, sprint planning, change management, and release management.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary business, functional, and technical teams.
