Seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Expert with at least 5 years of experience in gas billing for energy supply companies. The role involves ensuring monthly gas billing, analyzing billing runs, and resolving errors, with a focus on SAP HANA.
Project overview
For our client, we are looking for a SAP IS-U Billing Expert (Gas Billing).
Responsibilities
- Execution and assurance of monthly gas billing in the municipal utility or energy supply environment
- Monitoring and analysis of billing runs and resolution of billing-relevant errors after the recent switch to SAP HANA
- Checking and processing of consumption data, meter readings, master data, tariffs, and contract data
- Execution of correction billing, cancellations, and back-billing
- Analysis of deviations and support in stabilizing and optimizing billing processes
- Identification and resolution of errors in the interaction between billing processes, data, and system functions
- Coordination with business departments and IT to ensure correct and timely billing

- At least 5 years of professional experience in gas billing at municipal utilities or energy supply companies
- Sound knowledge of energy industry billing processes, especially monthly gas billing
- Experience with SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities, ideally in the Billing and Invoicing areas
- Practical experience with SAP HANA or with billing processes after a HANA conversion
- Experience in analyzing and resolving billing errors and in processing incorrect billing runs
- Understanding of billing-relevant master data, consumption values, tariffs, and contract data
- Independent, structured, and analytical way of working
- Very good German language skills
